Independently run WoW hosts have been dropping like goes in the last day or so after receiving letters from Blizzard's attorneys under the DMCA. They've been closed down so quickly and rapidly that it's being heralded as "the end of individual servers" by quite a few individuals. The greatest and most well known hosts such as Toxic WoW and Ani-WoW are more or less all gone already, and it seems that it's only a problem of your power and power before the smaller ones go down as well. Apparently, this letter has a fairly big record of websites and hosts that are to be taken down.
Some of these websites have just known as it a day, closed down their hosts and will move on with their lives, but a few others are already referring to beginning it coming back up elsewhere, 'underground.' It's the world wide web, and at this aspect, that just seems foolish. Blizzard is watching, and it seems this problem has shifted up a level on their concern record. My advice? Don't entice destiny.
